When preorders come in, we will make an announcement on our Facebook page – and we expect the shirts to come in the week leading into Springfest. Watch this facebook page! Springfest celebrates community togetherness through fun and MUSIC! And this year is no exception! Come out and listen to the incredible line up of music for both Friday and Saturday night! You’ll be dancing and singing in the streets!

Springfest Carnival

Hop on the exhilarating carnival rides, play some fun games, and win big stuffed animals at the Springfest Carnival!  Fun for every age!

Junior Auxiliary Kids Corner

10AM to 2PM

The Junior Auxiliary of Batesville Kids Corner will be located on the south side of the square in the parking lot by Flint’s Hardware.  Look for the big jumpies and activity tents and expect to have A LOT OF FUN!!!!

Arts & crafts

This year we will NOT be having arts and crafts vendors as we have simply run out of room!!  But don’t fear – there WILL be arts & crafts vendors at The Cotton Warehouse Vendors Mall at 550 Hwy 6 West, Batesville, MS 38606. If you would like to be a vendor, call Mary Alice Gray at 662-229-6879.

Food & Drink

Get ready to find some great food!  We will have food trucks and tents on the square!  The boy scouts will be selling water and soft drinks. There will be a beer tent available with valid ID and wristband.

The Batesville Springfest Pageant top winner from each age group will be presented on Friday night of Springfest, May 20th at 5:30pm! Of course, no admission! See the sweet pageant winners, stay for the music, food and fun!

From I-55 NORTH
1. Exit #246 to MS-35 S / Hwy 35 N.
2. At end of exit ramp, turn RIGHT onto Hwy 35. (Love’s Truck Stop will be on your right.)
3. Drive approximately 3.2 miles. (Hwy 35 becomes “Broadway.”) You’ll have the railroad tracks on your right side the whole way. Broadway runs right into the square!

 

From I-55 SOUTH
1. Exit #243 on to MS-6 W/US-278 W.
2. At end of exit ramp, go RIGHT to merge on to MS-6 W/US-278 W.
3. Turn RIGHT at 3rd stop light (US 51 North)
4. Turn LEFT at Pamela Street (Landmarks: Magnolia Pharmacy, Ace Hardware on your left.)
5. Continue on Pamela to stop sign. Proceed straight (Pamela becomes Creek Drive, and then Court Street.)
6. Continue all the way to the square!

 

From MS-6 WEST / US 278W
1. Approaching Batesville from the west, drive EAST into town.
2. At Hwy 51 intersection stoplight, turn LEFT (Landmark: Walgreens will be on your left.)
3. Turn LEFT at Pamela Street (Landmarks: Magnolia Pharmacy, Ace Hardware on your left.)
4. Continue on Pamela to stop sign. Proceed straight (Pamela becomes Creek Drive, and the Court Street.)
5. Continue all the way to the square!

 

From MS-6 WEST / US 278W
1. Approaching Batesville from the east, drive WEST into town.
2. At Hwy 51 intersection stoplight, turn RIGHT (Landmark: Walgreens and BP Station on your right side.)

The Springfest is a FREE event. There is no cost to enter. Food, beverages, beer, and carnival rides are NOT FREE. Please consider bringing money for what you may want to purchase.

No, the musical performances of Friday and Saturday are free and part of the festival.

There will be no parking on the square, as Springfest takes up the entire square area. Late afternoon, the south side of the square (by Flint Hardware, Davis Pharmacy, Polished, etc) will open back up for parking once the Junior Auxiliary Kids Corner has closed down.

Otherwise, there will be parking on side streets connecting to the square, such as Panola Avenue, College Street, Broadway Street, etc.

There will be food vendors on site. Also, restaurants on the square such as Bread and Butter and the Pink Flamingo Bar and Grill may be open for business. Please check the business hours of those restaurants before depending on them to be open during the festival.

 

The Boy Scouts will be selling water and soft drinks. There will be a beer tent for 21 and over. IDs will be checked, and you must have a wristband to enter the beer tent. No cost for the arm band, only for the beer. Downtown Nutrition on the west side of the square may be open serving their beverages – please check with the store. Absolutely no coolers allowed – no exceptions!

There will be porta-potties set up throughout the square. An ADA compliant portable toilet will be available.

Seating is not provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn/grove chairs if prefer to sit during the performances. Spots are first come, first served. Gated area will be standing room only for Saturday event.

Absolutely no coolers allowed – no exceptions. Boy Scouts will have drinks available to purchase, and there will also a beer tent (IDs will be checked and you must have a wristband to purchase.)

The festival will go on, rain or shine. Musical performances may be postponed or cancelled if weather conditions are deemed unsafe or unacceptable for exposed equipment. Performer times may be subject to change. Thank you for understanding!

All will accept cash. Some will accept cards. Please plan accordingly. There will NOT be an ATM on site.

The Panola County Emergency Management office will have a tent set up on the square for an emergency contact point. We ask that parents and guardians please write your phone number in permanent marker on your child’s arm. This will help law enforcement and our Springfest volunteers locate you if your child approaches us lost.

Call 911, and then if you are able (or someone nearby), find a law enforcement officer, security guard, or Springfest Volunteer to assist you until First Responders arrive. There will be First Responders on site, as well as Emergency Management Services. The EMS tent will be set up at the old service station at the corner of Broadway and Court Street, across from the Panola County Court House.
