Art Mart on the Square
Batesville Main Street is hosting the 2nd Annual Art Mart on the Square on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, from 8 AM to 2 PM in beautiful downtown Batesville, MS!
There will be a wide variety of artist vendors – from oil painting to hand-made soaps and candles, to woodworking – and SO MUCH MORE! Delicious pancake breakfast and other lunch concessions provided by local non-profits. There will be an exciting petting zoo for children and families! We are looking forward to beautiful, festive fall day!

Pancake Breakfast
& other concessions
A pancake breakfast will be served by the Exchange Club at the nearby Batesville Intermediate School cafeteria from 7 to 10am. Lunch and snack concessions served on the square by the Batesville Civitan Luncheon Group. Each club’s proceeds go directly into their non -profit services that benefit Panola County.
Bringing back
History
Many Batesville residents fondly remember the days of the “art mart” in the Pecan Grove from years ago and have frequently asked to relive those days! This is a step toward bringing it back! We hope you will join us for this lovely day of art and community in our beautiful square!
Young Artists at Art Mart
This year we would like to have YOUTH ARTISTS (18 and under) at the Art Mart!
If your kiddo is a budding art entrepreneur and would like to participate, here are 2 options for displaying his or her art at our Art Mart.

Full Booth (No fee for 10×10 space) Set up how you wish – we only provide the space.

We are designating the train depot as our “youth art shop” for the event, with a volunteer managing the space. The volunteer will collect money on art sold.
- Bring your art piece(s) to the Batesville Main Street / Panola Partnership office by WEDNESDAY, October 11th at 3:00pm.
- Please label your artwork with NAME, AGE, and PRICE. (We are happy to help guide you in pricing your artwork if needed.)
- If art is on a paper medium, please at least matted (or framed).
- We encourage you to please return at 2pm that day to collect unsold art pieces, or money from art sales. (If you are unable to return, please make arrangements to pick up at our office the following week.)
